How to Install Easy IP TV on Android TV & Google TV
Get IPTV running on your Android TV or Google TV device in under 2 minutes. No sideloading — install directly from the Google Play Store.
What you need
- An Android TV or Google TV device
- An internet connection (at least 10 Mbps for HD streaming)
- A phone or computer to manage your account at easy-ip.tv
- An M3U playlist URL from your IPTV provider
Step-by-step installation
Open the Google Play Store
From your Android TV home screen, open the Google Play Store. On Google TV, scroll down to the Apps row.
Search for Easy IP TV
Select the search icon and type "Easy IP TV" using the on-screen keyboard or voice search.
Install the app
Select Easy IP TV from the results and click Install. The download takes a few seconds.
Open Easy IP TV
Launch the app. A 6-digit linking code will appear on your TV screen.
Link your TV
On your phone or computer, go to easy-ip.tv and sign in. Enter the 6-digit code to link your device to your account.
Add your M3U playlist
In the dashboard at easy-ip.tv, paste your IPTV provider's M3U playlist URL and click Save. Your playlist will be processed and channels will appear on your TV — small playlists load in seconds, larger ones may take a few minutes.
Setting up EPG (Program Guide)
Most M3U playlists include EPG data automatically. If your program guide is empty, add a separate EPG URL in your dashboard at easy-ip.tv. Easy IP TV supports XMLTV format and displays the current and next programs in the player overlay.
Remote control shortcuts
- D-pad (arrow keys) — navigate channels and menus
- OK / Select — select a channel, toggle play/pause in player
- Back — return to the previous screen
- Up/Down while watching — switch channels (or seek when watching a single video)
- Left/Right while watching — seek backward/forward
- Left arrow — add/remove favorites (in channel list)
- Right arrow — hide/unhide channels (in channel list)
- Channel +/- — switch channels while watching, page jump in group picker
- Play/Pause — control playback
Compatible devices
Easy IP TV works on all Android TV and Google TV devices, including:
- Smart TVs: Sony Bravia, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Sharp, Toshiba with Android TV
- Streaming devices: NVIDIA Shield TV, Chromecast with Google TV, Xiaomi Mi Box, Mecool, onn.
- Set-top boxes: Any device running Android TV 7.0 (API level 24) or later
Easy IP TV uses the native Android media player for optimal performance on each device.
Android TV vs Google TV
Google TV is a newer interface layer on top of Android TV. Easy IP TV works identically on both. The only difference is where you find the Google Play Store:
- Android TV: Play Store is directly on the home screen
- Google TV: Scroll down to the "Apps" row, then select "Search for apps" to open the Play Store
Troubleshooting
Can't find the app? Make sure your device runs Android TV (not regular Android). Easy IP TV is a TV app and won't appear on phone/tablet Play Store searches from the TV.
Channels not loading? Check that your M3U URL is correct and your device has internet access.
Buffering? Use Ethernet if possible. NVIDIA Shield and wired connections provide the best experience. See our troubleshooting guide for more tips.
